Let’s talk supernatural a little, shall we?

In short, by my own definition, the supernatural is a term used to describe an event, feeling, or experience that supersedes all natural capability. The supernatural realm is where we experience miracles, revelations, dreams, visions, and even spiritual warfare.

God only dwells in the supernatural. He is not a natural being. Jesus was made flesh, He existed in the natural like us, but He is God and therefore only supernatural as well (though He didn’t consider equality with God something to be used to His advantage – Philippians 2:6).

Which can only mean one thing… when we give our lives to Jesus, and His Spirit dwells within us, WE become reinstated as supernatural beings!

Notice I said “reinstated”. Yup! Go ahead, take a few moments to dwell on this with the Lord.

When Adam and Eve roamed the Garden of Eden, before sin, they were in perfect harmony with God. Adam was entrusted with the supernatural wisdom and presence of God and given the authority over all creation — including naming all the animals. He named the animals, not by his own doing, but because Adam was so connected to his Creator and knew God’s very thoughts.

Until sin. And everything crumbled.

Adam and Eve brought humanity into the natural world and broke the covenant that enabled them to live and exist as supernatural beings in perfect harmony with God.

Now, humanity was no longer able to know the thoughts of God as mere human beings.

UNTIL JESUS!

The Sacrifice that paid it all for us to have NEW life. A life redeemed and brought back to our Heavenly Father! He has entrusted His Spirit within us that we may know the thoughts of God again (1 Corinthians 2:11-12), and live our lives supernaturally as God originally created us to!

Hallelujah! Praise be to God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ!

When we surrender every aspect of ourselves — body, mind, and soul — we receive the Holy Spirit and begin to live life in the supernatural. In fact, as born-again believers, it actually takes us MORE energy to exist and live in the natural realm than it does to operate in the supernatural.

Read that again.

If you’re consumed by the natural way of life, you are actually having to exert more energy to live than if you were to simply abide in the supernatural with Jesus where you belong.

Ahhh. What a beautiful revelation.

I want you to ponder this in your heart. This revelation of Truth is truly life-changing and will set you up to begin operating out of the supernatural power and authority God has given His children.

We will talk more about the power and authority next. For now, know who you are. Read the Bible. Go over the verses I quoted and read beyond.
